Our Process

01 - CONSULTATION

Every project begins with a detailed design consultation, usually held at our showroom. This allows us to explore the brief in depth, share material samples, finishes and reference imagery, and begin shaping the overall direction.

Where needed, we are also happy to visit clients on site. At this stage, we take the time to understand how the space will be used, as well as your aesthetic preferences, practical requirements and budget considerations.

02 - MEASURE

Following the initial consultation, we carry out a site visit to take accurate measurements and assess any technical considerations. Where full architectural drawings or floor plans are already provided, this stage may be streamlined. However, a site visit often allows us to identify details that influence proportions, installation, and final fit.

03 - DESIGN

Following the consultation and survey, we prepare detailed drawings and a considered design proposal. This is presented clearly, helping clients, interior designers and project teams visualise the layout, proportions and key details.

We then welcome feedback and refine the design collaboratively until every element is approved.

04 - TEMPLATING

Templating is where the true bespoke nature of our work becomes apparent. Using Correx sheets laid out on site, we fine tune every element to suit the space exactly.

At this stage, heights, widths, depths and proportions can all be adjusted, allowing the cabinetry to respond perfectly to the realities of the room. This process enables clients to physically understand how the joinery will work within their space, ensuring both form and function feel right before manufacture begins.

05 - MANUFATURING

All cabinetry is made in house at our North Norfolk workshop. Rather than constructing individual frames around each door, we typically use a continuous frame running throughout the full run of units. This approach allows the cabinetry to sit seamlessly within the space and creates a more refined, perfectly fitted finish.

In most cases, the same craftsman will template, manufacture, paint, and install your cabinetry. This continuity ensures exceptional attention to detail and offers a highly personal service from start to finish.

Before painting, clients are invited into the workshop to view their cabinetry in its raw form, fully assembled and laid out with appliances where applicable. This allows proportions, details, and layout to be reviewed before the final finishes are applied.

06 - PAINTING & FINISHING TOUCHES

All painting and finishing is carried out in house. We offer both spray and hand painted finishes, with our preferred approach being spray application for base coats, followed by hand finishing of the top coat.

This combination achieves a durable, consistent finish while retaining the character and depth that comes with hand craftsmanship.

07 - INSTALLATION & AFTERCARE

Installation is completed by our own team, typically by the same craftsman who has worked on the project throughout. This continuity ensures the cabinetry is fitted with care, precision, and a deep understanding of the design intent.

By handling installation ourselves, we maintain full control over quality and coordination on site.

Following installation, we remain available to address any final adjustments and to provide guidance on care and maintenance. Our focus on longevity means we are always happy to support our clients well beyond completion.
